Children's Home baskets

For the second year in a row, our Faithbuilders class at church worked together to provide Easter baskets for two children's homes in the Austin area. One is a Presbyterian children's home, and the other is Central Texas Children's Home, which, as many of you know, is very close to our hearts. On the Wednesday before Easter, the Murries and the Hames came to our house to help assemble the baskets. We had 27 total, and my living room looked like the Easter bunny had thrown up in there. We got it all sorted out, and Beth delivered the ones to the kids at the Presbyterian home. The Murries helped us deliver the ones to Central Texas Children's Home, and it was a lot of fun. The boys weren't home, but we gave the baskets to Gloria, the house mom. We were happy to find the girls home, though, and it was great to watch them claim a basket and dig through it. Those kids are so sweet, and they adored Scout and Davis. We were really happy to find out that evening that two of the girls, Cheyenne and Carisima were recently baptized. We felt very blessed that evening, and we can't wait to do it all again next year!
