The lake house is great. It's much bigger than we thought from the pictures, and the land is amazing. We have a little acre all to ourselves with a big back porch, complete with porch swing, picnic table, grill and hammock. There's a short fishing pier leading to the beautiful lake, where Pop and Daddy have taken G fishing for the first time. Garrett's first question was, "Why are we killing the worms?" Hmm...circle of life lesson. No fish were caught, but they're having a good time together. We were also greeted by geese walking around the backyard this morning and then a flock flying over the lake. Scout has not wasted any time claiming her grandparents and soaking up their love and attention. Ryan, his dad and I went to a meeting for the runners and their crews. They spent a little more time than I'd like on warning the runners about crazy hunters and not to deviate from the trail much. And here I thought his biggest threat was dehydration or fatigue. Luckily, he doesn't gobble when he runs, since it's turkey season. We ended the day with a beautiful sunset and a fly over of geese again.
