My birthday

Garrett was insistent on getting me a cake for my birthday. He talked about it for two days straight. Ryan went out and got a cheesecake for me and let Garrett present it to me. They did a very creative job of sculpting 31 into the top of it. It was sweet.

That was not the big event, however. Ryan, my sister and I had tickets to the "So You Think You Can Dance" concert at the Erwin Center. If you aren't a fan of the show (how could you not be?), it's quite possibly the best way to spend an hour with a loved one. You might think it would be a quiet dinner or deep conversation, but you'd be wrong. It's a dance competition show like American Idol, and it's so much fun. The top dancers tour the country after the show ends, and we were part of it! We had a wonderful time, even though we got a little altitude sickness from our seats. It was a great birthday celebration! Below are some pics of us at the concert and a few of the performances.
